Fine elastomer for gaskets is installed around plates and big tightening bolts are used to put the plates fixed together to prevent any kind of leaking. The seals or the gaskets are a critical part of the construction of the plate heat exchangers because it is mainly responsible for the life-time of all the equipment. Gaskets must have chemical/heat resistance depending on the process and the application used for, working in: power industry, oil processing, food and beverage industry, sugar industry, chemistry, pulp and paper. Glued style gaskets, by installing the gaskets using glue to fix them to the plates.

Clip style gasket, those are installed without any adhesive, just by installing the clips into the grooves on the plate.
